ROBOthug & Her Furry Space Boots.

I was browsing random sites online and came across the title "robothug" and fell in love. I'm thinking about changing this blog name to that but we shall see! In other news, my brother's 4th birthday just passed so look out for that entry. I haven't been through the photos though as of yet but I'm sure when I do I'll only like one or two shots. I had forgotten to charge the batteries for my flash at the time and therefore was limited with the flash on my slr and gave up with waiting on it to load. Ah well. Back to today's topic. I was really inspired by a lot of things today and at 8am this morning decided to dredge up my grandma's sewing machine from the garage and work on a little project. It was a lot more work than I had anticipated, fingers are sore and many needles were broken but it was well-worth it for the end result!

Here we have this old Juicy Couture hoodie that I've worn a bit throughout the years. Originally my mom's and passed on to me and it really has been just lying around collecting dust (and fur apparently) so I figured I'd put it to good use. Make something out of it that I'd actually use often instead of just another item tossed aside, one step away from donation/selling on ebay!

Messy room! Couldn't be bothered to tidy up for a few shots. Fuckit.

As you can see it's a bit raggedy, the hoodie, itself! >.< Sorry.

Here we have the fur (yes, it's real rabbit fur.. sorry!) part of the hoodie which I pulled the lining from and was just left with the fur/skin part of it. Some parts were stitched so poorly, I'm unimpressed JC!

And here we have one unfinished shoe and one completed side.

With flash. Looks great either way.

I actually still have to work on the left side so I'll be posting photos of both shoes tomorrow, when I have better lighting etc. :D Hope you like what I've done so far though. My sincere apologies that I used real fur, mind you this is probably the only item I own that fits in this category >.< But otherwise I really, really love the way it's turned out. Just have to add a few minor corrections here and there. :)

OCC Lip Tars ♥

Another package I ordered came in the mail. It's from OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) & it's probably the best purchase I've ever made. They have these lip tars that come in every color, from neutral to brights to darks and I'd honestly like to buy them all. I only bought two initially because I wasn't sure of the quality and if I would like it but I'm already hooked. I'll preach it to the world now, these are UH-MAZING. When I first put it on I realized how true to the reviews I read online they really were. They're very consistent and you don't need a lot of the product to get full lip coverage. So even though these little tubes may look tiny, they're bound to last a long while. Although I'll probably be using them constantly! Another great thing about it is that there's a minty taste to it? Not really a taste but when I put on the "Uber" shade, as soon as I breathed in through my mouth I could taste/feel a sort of minty flavor. It's oh so lovely. Be sure to check out the site for other products and lip tar shades ^_^

Packaging is so cute!  ♥

I'm wearing "Uber" in this photo.

And here's the "Katricia" lip tar ♥

Tried to get a decent photo of both colors on my skin. Katricia and Uber (left to right)

My Room.

I finally couldn't take the clutter anymore and cleaned up to the highest power. I'm supposed to be getting new furniture soon but until then I've had to basically just live out of my closet, no dressers or nightstands etc. So it was getting really out of control in here. Now it's quite lovely to look at even though it's merely temporary.

Photos of my hubby & mom on the wall! Along with his jersey ♥

You can see me editing the photos from the previous entry ha >.<

The inside of my closet is still messy! Ah.

The Complete Beauty Library by E.L.F!

Title says it all basically. My new makeup set by E.L.F. Had a bit of technical difficulties before receiving this but they solved all that asap. I bought this along with a couple of other things (which haven't come in the mail yet!). I ended up getting a free gift as well which was the Brightening Eye Color "Noveau Neutrals".  I've yet to try any of these things yet aside from the Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths, which work like a charm I must say! Too bad there are only 20 because I know I'll be using these babies up pretty fast. I'll definitely get more though, when they're out. I'll be sure to do some swatches of each when I have the time, possibly tomorrow or this weekend? By then I should have all my makeup that I ordered so it'll be one huge post or maybe I'll break it up into different posts according to the brand! Ah, possibilites. Well here are the photos! Hope you like ♥

Brushes! 9pc set to be precise! Too pretty. Don't even wanna use em >.<

I love the bag the brushes came in as well. Seems very durable and it's compact!

My New Favourite Shoes!

I recently bought these really great boots from Irregular Choice. I've been trying to find the right pair of black wedges at a relatively decent price so when I saw these babies I knew they were perfect for me. What do you think? The only complaint I would have to say after wearing them for the first time is that the bottom of them, even though they were rubber-ish(?), was really smooth and hard to walk on on certain surfaces. I actually had to butcher the pretty soles with a knife in a criss-cross pattern before I even thought about taking them out. Other than that, great boots! Really comfy to walk in especially. They're made quite thin on the bottom so I can imagine that someone with wider feet might feel some discomfort possibly? I bought them in a size 7 and they are very true to that size. A great find indeed, don't you agree? :)

Aren't the bottom of these just too cute to walk on?! D:

I actually still have the box! ^_^ Storing all my cords in there.

My top 3 shoes ♥

Ignore my crack and the awkwardness. Ha.
